A Special Education Teacher position is available at a middle school in Uxbridge, MA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role requires a dedicated educator to provide individualized support and specialized instruction for students in grades 4 through 7. The successful candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher Certification with moderate and/or moderate/severe licensure.

Key qualifications include:

• Massachusetts Special Education Teacher Certification with moderate and/or moderate/severe endorsement
• Experience working with students in grades 4-7
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Developing and implementing tailored lesson plans to meet diverse learner needs
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, adjusting instruction accordingly
• Managing classroom environments that foster student growth and social-emotional development
• Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining accurate documentation
• Providing support and guidance to students to promote academic and behavioral success
