This Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the current school year in Troy, OH, supporting K-12 students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs in a self-contained classroom setting. The role offers a contract position with 35-40 hours per week, serving a caseload of 6-8 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and educational staff to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and classroom activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Intervention Specialist certification is required.
- Experience working in self-contained classrooms with students who have multiple disabilities or autism.
- Ability to manage small caseloads effectively, catering to individual student needs.
