Job Description

This Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the current school year in Troy, OH, supporting K-12 students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs in a self-contained classroom setting. The role offers a contract position with 35-40 hours per week, serving a caseload of 6-8 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions and strategies to foster academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and educational staff to monitor student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and classroom activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Intervention Specialist certification is required.
  • Experience working in self-contained classrooms with students who have multiple disabilities or autism.
