Medi-Cal Clerical Specialist (School Setting)

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Medi-Cal Clerical Specialist to support a Special Education Department. This is a full-time, school-based position, most likely beginning in September and continuing through the end of June.

Position Details:

-Full-time (40 hours per week)
-Start Date: September (pending Board approval)
-End Date: End of June
-Location: Thermal, CA

Responsibilities:

-Process and manage Medi-Cal billing and reimbursement documentation.
-Monitor random Medi-Cal time surveys and ensure timely completion by Special Education staff.
-Verify that district staff is following Medi-Cal documentation and reporting procedures.
-Meet monthly with Medi-Cal representatives to review compliance, documentation, and timekeeping processes.
-Maintain organized records and support overall Medi-Cal compliance efforts within the Special Education department.

Qualifications:

-Previous experience processing or managing Medi-Cal/Medicaid requests is required.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to communicate effectively with district staff and maintain accurate documentation.
-Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.
