Job Description
A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Preschool education in Surprise, AZ. The assignment extends from ASAP through May 21, 2026, providing an onsite teaching position focused on supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within a school setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct instruction aligned with each students IEP
- Managing case services and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to IEPs
- Developing and implementing a full continuum of services to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation and records
- Consulting in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
- Facilitating ongoing communication with parents and guardians to support student progress
- Providing behavior management support by implementing behavior intervention plans
- Collaborating with school staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively integrated into the learning environment
- Creating and maintaining a safe, supportive classroom setting
- Performing other duties as assigned to support educational objectives
Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
- Valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC) or ability to obtain one
