A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in Summerville, SC. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and focuses on providing dedicated support to students with diverse learning needs. The role encompasses both resource and self-contained classroom environments, allowing for varied instructional approaches tailored to individual student requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in resource and self-contained classrooms
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet goals and promote academic growth
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12 levels
