This opportunity seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve an elementary school setting on a full-time contract basis. The role requires expertise in delivering tailored educational programs that meet the unique needs of students requiring special education services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary-level students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain compliance with district and state special education policies and regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and learning.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
- Certification with Cognitive Impairment (CI) or Autism Intervention (AI) endorsement is required.
- Proven ability to work effectively within an elementary school setting.
Location and Schedule:
- Onsite position in Sturgis, MI.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Contract duration corresponds with the current school year.
