Job Description
A Special Education Teacher is needed to support K-12 students with mild to moderate learning needs in a contract role lasting through June 12, 2026. This in-person position provides an opportunity to positively impact student growth by developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each learner.

School Type: K-12
Duration: Contract until June 12, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute IEPs that address the unique needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Provide direct instruction and support in various subjects and settings
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification with SPED endorsement in Michigan required
- Experience working with K-12 students who have mild to moderate special education needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles
