This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support students at the elementary school level. The position is contract-based, spanning the entire school year, and is located in State College, PA. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, fostering both academic growth and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring special education services
• Adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate students specific learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive educational environment
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to promote a positive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting
• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs
