A dynamic opportunity is available for licensed Special Education Teachers to serve grades K-12 within a well-established school setting in Stamford, CT. This contract role spans from ASAP through May 22, 2026, providing instruction and support across various special education environments including elementary resource, elementary self-contained, and middle school resource classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to support academic and social growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher license.
- Experience working with children in self-contained and resource settings preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and mentorship.
Location:
- Onsite position located within Stamford, Connecticut.
Schedule and Duration:
- 30 to 32.5 hours per week.
- Contract term until May 22, 2026.
