This opportunity is ideal for a certified Intervention Specialist dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with multiple disabilities, autism, and complex needs. The position involves managing a self-contained classroom within a K-12 school setting, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual student goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs
- Creating a supportive, structured learning environment for 6-8 students
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address academic and behavioral objectives
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Communicating regularly with parents and staff regarding student development
Qualifications:
- Valid Intervention Specialist certification
- Experience working with students who have multiple disabilities, autism, or complex educational needs
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt lesson plans to varied learning abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to support a positive educational environment
Location: Springfield, OH
Schedule: 35-40 hours per week
Position type: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
