Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with middle school-aged students, particularly in the mild/moderate disability range
• Familiarity with co-teaching models and collaborative teaching practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with general education teachers to support a co-teaching model, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of each student
• Engage in direct instruction and facilitate small group work as part of a differentiated learning approach
• Monitor and assess students progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
