Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for a caseload of approximately 25 middle school students.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding academic progress and social development.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and IEP meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching credential with Special Education endorsement.
• Experience teaching resource specialist classes in a K-12 setting, preferably at the middle school level.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
