A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year, serving K-12 students in an elementary school setting located in Salem, OR. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive classroom environments.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to meet educational goals.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations.
• Engage with families and caregivers to foster strong communication and support student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification for K-12.
• Demonstrated experience in special education, preferably in an elementary school environment.
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies for students with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and families.
• Ability to manage diverse learning needs and maintain an organized classroom.
