Job Description

This contract opportunity, beginning August 24, 2026 and extending through May 28, 2027, offers the chance to deliver meaningful support to students with physical and health disabilities. Your expertise will help bridge the gap to accessibility, empower teachers, and facilitate each childs success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Must hold Special Education licensure with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement.
  • Experience supporting the needs of physically impaired students.
  • Strong background in functional student evaluations, progress monitoring, and IEP development.
  • Comfortable collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including teachers, OTs, and PTs.
  • Skilled in recommending and implementing assistive technologies and making curriculum adaptations.
  • Ability to provide insight on classroom accessibility and inclusive practices.
  • Prior K-12 school setting experience preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as an itinerant resource, consulting on classroom modifications and accessibility for students with physical or health disabilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments to guide instructional decisions.
  • Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adapt supports as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom staff and related service providers to ensure cohesive support.
  • Remain current on due process requirements and best practices in special education.
