Key Qualifications:

• Current teaching certification in Special Education for the state
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Experience working with students with a range of disabilities
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to develop an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction and support to K-12 students with varying abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to provide tailored educational experiences
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) according to district and state guidelines
• Track student progress, adjusting teaching methods and materials as necessary
• Foster an atmosphere of encouragement and growth where each student can excel
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
