Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a high school serving students in grades 10-12, ages 15-18. This role begins ASAP and continues through May 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to support diverse learners in a well-established educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students with disabilities, including learning disabilities (LD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), other health impairments (OHI), and one student with deaf/hard of hearing (DHH) needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a team of professionals, including two other high school special education teachers
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Promote inclusion and a positive learning environment for all students
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration to support student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid special education teaching certification
  • Experience working with high school-aged students with various special education needs
  • Ability to collaborate with fellow educators and adapt to evolving classroom dynamics
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering student growth and development
