Make a meaningful impact every day as a dedicated Special Education Teacher working full-time in a supportive school setting. This contract position runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers a fulfilling opportunity to support students as a Resource Room Teacher. You'll help foster growth and confidence in learners with diverse needs through in-person instruction and individualized strategies.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) required; please have a current copy ready for submission.
- Previous experience teaching special education and familiarity with resource room environments strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and effective differentiated instruction.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Passion for nurturing student strengths and helping each child reach their full potential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with students IEPs.
- Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction in a resource room setting.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and school staff to support student needs.
- Regularly monitor, assess, and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
- Contribute to IEP meetings, provide input on goals, and maintain accurate student records.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for all learners.
