Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Roseville, CA. This contract role is for the 20252026 school year and focuses on teaching within a Special Day Class (SDC) setting for 4th and 5th-grade students with special needs. The position requires a committed educator skilled in delivering individualized instruction tailored to support diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement specialized instructional programs for elementary students with mild/moderate to moderate/severe special education needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning styles and requirements of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
  • Comply with all program, district, and state regulations including Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and documentation.
  • Deliver instruction onsite, working directly within the school environment to best engage students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Special Education credential with Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe endorsements.
  • Experience teaching in an elementary special education setting, specifically with 4th and 5th-grade students.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
