Job Description
This full-time Special Education Teacher position is based in Rosemount, MN, serving K-12 students in a supportive, structured environment. The role focuses on the Achieve program, designed to assist students with emotional, behavioral, and self-regulation challenges, ensuring they receive the tailored educational support required for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized support to students within the Achieve program, addressing emotional, behavioral, and self-regulation needs.
- Develop and implement culturally responsive teaching strategies that promote equity, focusing on reducing disparities among over-represented special education student groups.
- Facilitate, write, and manage Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans collaboratively with students, families, and educational teams.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license from the Minnesota Department of Education in one or more areas: ABS, ASD, EBD, DD, or LD.
- Dual special education licensure is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable educational practices.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: ASAP through June 4, 2026.
- Full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
