Job Description
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the current school year in Richlands, NC, at a K-12 public school. This contract role is backfilling a position immediately, with interviews being scheduled as soon as possible. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 2026.
Responsibilities include supporting a mild to moderate special education caseload within a high school setting. The classroom consists of one student and includes a teaching assistant and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide collaborative support. The role requires delivering adaptive curriculum instruction tailored to the students needs.
Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Valid North Carolina Adaptive Curriculum endorsement, Special Education credential, or equivalent, or willingness to pursue certification
- Experience working with mild to moderate disabilities in a K-12 setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom support staff (TA and RBT)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Location and schedule details:
- Location: Richlands, NC
- Full time, approximately 40 hours per week
- On-site role
