Job Description

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher role serving students in grades K-12 within a public school setting in Quincy, MA. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, throughout the current school year. The focus is on providing individualized support and instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities in accordance with their educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement specialized instructional plans tailored to students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher
  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification, preferably for grades 6-12
  • Expertise in working with moderate to severe disabilities in school-aged children
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to student-centered instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
