Seeking two dedicated professionalsone for Middle School (grades 6-8) and one for High Schoolwho are ready to make an impact with a cross-categorical approach. This instructional model allows you to work with students experiencing a range of mild-to-moderate disabilities, including learning and emotional-behavior disorders as well as mild intellectual disabilities, all within a single classroom environment. Youll foster growth, independence, and success across every learner, celebrating each unique strength.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801).
- Extensive experience supporting students on the autism spectrum.
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction and modifying curriculum to meet individual education plans (IEPs).
- Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community partners.
- Commitment to cultural responsiveness and a positive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction for a caseload of students with varied mild-to-moderate disabilities.
- Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs collaboratively with student teams.
- Utilize research-based strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth.
- Foster communication and self-advocacy skills in all students.
- Track and report student progress; communicate regularly with families.
- Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive classroom in line with school values.
