Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a Special Education Teacher who enjoys collaborative teamwork and truly values individualized learning. Youll work with K-12 students in resource classrooms, with some push-in services to the general education setting, and there is a chance to be involved in the life skills program as well. Most students youll support have moderate disabilities, ranging from ASD to learning and behavioral differences.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current Special Education certification
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse needs, especially moderate disabilities such as ASD, LD, BD, or those requiring life skills support
  • Strong understanding of resource room strategies and effective push-in support
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
  • Adaptable and creative in implementing individualized education plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in both resource and inclusive settings, adapting methods for student success
  • Provide targeted push-in support within the general education classroom as needed
  • Partner with general education teachers to support classroom integration
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students needs and abilities
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaboration, and ongoing professional development
  • Foster an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment for all students
