Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their growth in a dedicated mental health and behavioral self-contained program for the 2026-2027 academic year. This is a contract position based in a collaborative and supportive middle school environment, serving a caseload of approximately 10-16 middle school students. The schedule runs 32.5-35 hours per week during regular school hours (7:30 AM 2:20 PM), from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire Teaching License
- Experience with mental health or behavioral self-contained classrooms preferred
- Strong case management and documentation skills, including evaluations and reports
- Ability to facilitate and participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, proactive, and patient approach with students who have diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead classroom instruction in a self-contained setting for students requiring behavioral and mental health support
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
- Conduct evaluations and maintain current, accurate student records
- Collaborate with school counselors, therapists, and families to foster a cohesive support environment
- Regularly participate in meetings to coordinate student services, track progress, and adjust interventions
- Provide academic, social, and behavioral guidance to promote student growth and success
