A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for an experienced professional to provide support in a high school autism support classroom. This travel position is based in Philadelphia, PA, and requires an onsite presence to effectively engage with students and staff within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional strategies tailored to students with autism in a high school setting.
- Manage and support an autism support classroom caseload, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to implement IEPs and track student progress.
- Maintain documentation and comply with educational regulations and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License or an emergency certification in special education.
- Demonstrated experience working with high school students with autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
