What Youll Need:
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License
- Certification in Special Education
- Solid experience supporting students with autism, preferably with high school populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with families and staff
- Adaptability in engaging learners with diverse abilities and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Create lesson plans that foster academic, social, and emotional development
- Support students in an Autism Support Classroom through differentiated instruction and evidence-based strategies
- Collaborate with counselors, specialists, and other educators to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with parents and caretakers
