Job Description

A K-12 educational institution in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a bilingual (Spanish) Dyslexia Interventionist to support elementary and middle school students. This contract position offers a full-time schedule with 40 hours per week, five days a week, during the current school year (CSY). The ideal candidate will have a passion for literacy intervention and experience working with students in special education settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted dyslexia intervention services to students based on assessment data and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to coordinate instruction and track student progress
  • Utilize evidence-based reading strategies aligned with the Reading by Design framework
  • Provide bilingual support in Spanish to students as needed, fostering language development alongside literacy skills
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and school personnel

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification in Reading by Design is required
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred but not mandatory
  • Training or experience related to Esperanza programs a plus
  • Background working in special education and with dyslexia intervention
