Job Description

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support early childhood students within a K-12 school setting in Jacksonville, IL. The position is a full-time, contract role for the upcoming school year, providing essential services to students with diverse learning needs. The caseload size will vary, allowing for a dynamic and personalized teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and goals

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Special Education (IL SPED) certification
  • Experience working with early childhood students preferred
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to various student needs and learning styles

Schedule and Location:

  • Location: Jacksonville, IL
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Days: 5 days per week
  • Contract duration: School Year (NSY)
