Job Description

Experienced Special Education Teacher needed for a contract position in Peoria, AZ, from ASAP through May 21, 2026. This onsite role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to 2nd-4th grade students in a Structured Teaching Classroom (STC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management services for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations related to IEPs
  • Deliver direct instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Develop and implement a full continuum of special education services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
  • Consult and collaborate in the Response to Intervention (RtI) process
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
  • Implement behavior management strategies and behavior intervention plans
  • Work collaboratively with staff to provide necessary accommodations and modifications within the school environment
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning setting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings preferred
