A K-12 special education teaching position is available to support students with diverse learning needs during a leave contract at a school located in Paterson, NJ. This role is ideal for educators experienced in creating inclusive learning environments and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instructional plans to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and concerns.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in special education.
• Experience working with students across K-12 grade levels.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional methods.
• Ability to design and modify curriculum based on student assessment data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
