Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school community near Oregon City, Oregon. This full-time, onsite contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 5, 2026, offering ample opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Multiple openings are available to match your experience and interests:

• Elementary Developmental (2 positions): Guide classes of 15 students with behavioral, ASD, and communication needs, alongside six support assistants.
• Elementary Behavior: Foster growth in grades 3-5, leading a classroom of 16 students and five assistants.
• Middle School Resource: Provide support to 40 students with two shared assistants in a collaborative environment.
• Elementary Resource: Serve two nearby elementary buildings, supporting 35 students with an assistant in each location.
• Middle School Behavior: Nurture the growth and development of 15 students, supported by a dedicated team of five assistants.

Key qualifications:

• Valid and active Special Education (SPED) certification/license for the state of Oregon.
• Recent supervisor reference contact information required for application.
• Experience working within school settings and with students with a range of needs is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to fostering individualized student learning and working collaboratively with paraprofessionals.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students distinctive strengths and needs.
• Collaborate closely with instructional assistants to create a supportive, adaptive classroom environment.
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student progress and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and school policies.
