Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification, with an Elementary Special Education endorsement
- Behavior Endorsement or proven experience working in classroom behavior settings
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Familiarity with elementary grade curriculum and instructional adaptations
- Effective communication and collaborative skills for working with colleagues, students, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom community
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction and behavioral interventions to meet students unique needs
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Implement effective classroom management strategies in behavior-focused positions
- Track progress, maintain thorough documentation, and complete required reports
- Communicate proactively with families and related service staff to support student success
- Participate in school-based meetings, ongoing training, and professional development
