This opportunity is designed for an experienced Special Education Teacher eager to work as an itinerant educator, providing individualized support to preschool-age children in community preschool settings. With a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, you'll help students reach their full potential while working collaboratively with families and preschool staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education and/or PK-4 teaching certification required (emergency permits not accepted)
• Experience working with preschoolers or early childhood special education is highly valued
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility to serve multiple community preschool sites
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, administrators, and local educators
• Passion for fostering inclusion and positive learning environments for children with diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel between assigned community preschools within the area to provide direct special education services
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Offer support and guidance to preschool staff and caregivers to facilitate the inclusion of children with special needs
• Participate in required training and ongoing professional development provided at the start of the assignment

This contract role offers consistent hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm, with a total of 35 hours per week. Begin your assignment with full training and ongoing guidance to ensure a smooth transition and strong connections with both students and educators.
