Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school located in Norristown, PA. This onsite contract role focuses on serving elementary and middle school students within the special education program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Monitor and document student progress throughout the academic year
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Special Education (SPED) Teaching License
- Experience working with K-12 special education students, preferably at the elementary and middle school levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment
