Job Description

An opportunity is available for a licensed Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract position for the upcoming school year in Newark, NJ. This role requires a dedicated educational professional with a specialized skill set to enhance the learning experiences of students with disabilities.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold valid licensure as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC)
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in special education settings
  • Proven expertise in Individualized Education Program (IEP) implementation and development
  • Strong knowledge of educational assessments and intervention strategies for students with learning disabilities

Location:

  • Newark, New Jersey
  • K-12 School setting

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core member of the Child Study Team, collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students learning needs
  • Design and implement effective educational strategies tailored to students classified by the team
  • Support and monitor IEP goals to ensure compliance and maximize student success
  • Provide consultative services to staff and families to foster inclusive learning environments
