Job Description
A Special Education Teacher position is available within a New Brunswick, NJ school district on a contract basis. This role is ideal for educators skilled in providing personalized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with a range of disabilities in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Create, monitor, and update IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Assess student progress and modify lessons to ensure educational goals are met
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
