Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Licensure
  • Appropriate credentials/certifications to teach Special Education in CT
  • Previous experience working with high school students preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and compliance procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to high school students on an assigned caseload in both resource and classroom settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Accurately document student progress and provide input for evaluations and meetings
  • Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
