Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Licensure
- Appropriate credentials/certifications to teach Special Education in CT
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Strong understanding of IEPs and compliance procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to high school students on an assigned caseload in both resource and classroom settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Accurately document student progress and provide input for evaluations and meetings
- Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
