An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students within a full-time contract position located in New Britain, CT. Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Licensure
  • Relevant credentials and certifications to deliver specialized educational services effectively

Job Details:

  • Full-time position, 35 hours per week
  • Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)
  • Serving elementary school-aged students
  • Manage an individualized caseload to address students unique learning needs

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
  • Employ evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners in an inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet developmental goals
  • Maintain compliance with all reporting requirements and participate in ongoing professional development
