An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students within a full-time contract position located in New Britain, CT. Qualifications and Certifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education (SPED) Licensure
- Relevant credentials and certifications to deliver specialized educational services effectively
Job Details:
- Full-time position, 35 hours per week
- Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY)
- Serving elementary school-aged students
- Manage an individualized caseload to address students unique learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
- Employ evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners in an inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet developmental goals
- Maintain compliance with all reporting requirements and participate in ongoing professional development
