A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school serving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students in New Berlin, WI. This contract position is ideal for educators dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and instruction
- Providing direct instruction and behavioral support to students with disabilities in grades 1 through 3
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Participating in parent-teacher conferences and team meetings to discuss student development and strategies
Desired qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in grades 1-3
- Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate clearly with families and staff
