This is a contract role beginning ASAP and extending through June 2026, providing stability and consistency for both you and your students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Prior experience working in a school setting (elementary experience highly valued)
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong collaborative skills for partnering with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction based on students' IEP goals
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Engage with parents and caregivers to foster student growth and achievement
- Implement evidence-based strategies and accommodations
