Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support high school students with intensive needs. This contract role involves a 37.5-hour workweek and requires experience working within special education at the high school level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with intensive special education needs
  • Deliver instruction and support tailored to student abilities and goals
  • Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to ensure student progress
  • Monitor student performance and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulations and policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid state Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience managing an intensive needs caseload at the high school level
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to create engaging, differentiated instructional materials
