Job Description

This full-time role offers an opportunity to support middle school students in a semi-self-contained setting focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). The position is designed for a Special Education Teacher with a passion for creating meaningful educational experiences and providing individualized support to a small caseload of students.

Position Details:

  • Location: Middle school setting, Nashua, NH area
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract: Current school year duration
  • Caseload: 5 students, grades 6-8, in ASD/ID classroom
  • Classroom support: 2 paraprofessionals available
  • Curriculum: Established curriculum in place, minimizing extensive lesson planning
  • Responsibilities include case management and direct instructional support

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in special education
  • Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with ASD and ID
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and other educational staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
