A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Naperville, IL, supporting students from kindergarten through age 22 across various educational settings. This onsite contract role offers the chance to work with diverse caseloads including autism classrooms, elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as transition programs for ages 18-22.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs within K-22 placements.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to enhance student progress.
- Monitor and assess student growth, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Experience working with students across multiple age groups and special needs categories preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
