A K-12 school in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking three full-time Special Education Teachers to support diverse learners through resource and self-contained classrooms. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an in-person instructional setting for the current school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with K-12 students in resource and/or self-contained classroom environments
- Strong ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students with disabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in both resource and self-contained settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to maximize learning outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusive classroom environments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet compliance standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and evaluation processes
