A school district in Morganton, NC, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve at an elementary school on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs by implementing individualized education plans and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with various disabilities in an elementary school setting.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress and success.
• Monitor and document student behavior and academic achievements.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
• Maintain compliance with special education laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
