Job Description

This contract position is for a Special Education Teacher to serve students in a K-12 school setting in Minneapolis, MN. Multiple full-time, long-term substitute openings are available, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs at both elementary and secondary levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with students' goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Certification required.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in special education preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom environments and tailor instruction to individual student needs.
  • Commitment to supporting student growth and development in inclusive settings.

Schedule:
