Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification in the state of Michigan
• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Demonstrated experience working with students with disabilities or special needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to suit individual student needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver instructional materials tailored to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional growth
• Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, families, and other team members to ensure inclusive educational experiences
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Create engaging, innovative lesson plans to encourage participation and facilitate learning for all students
