Job Description
Support the educational success of students with disabilities by managing and overseeing all aspects related to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in a K-12 setting. This direct hire opportunity in Miami, FL spans the current school year and offers a full-time, 40-hour workweek. The role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while fostering collaboration within the local school system. Additionally, this position requires occasional substitute teaching responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all matters related to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring they meet regulatory standards and the unique needs of each student.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable special education laws and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with district staff and educational teams to support student success.
- Provide substitute teaching support as necessary to maintain classroom continuity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field required; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or eligibility for certification.
- Completion of the Department of Children & Family Child Care Training.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in leadership or coordinator capacities.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, climb, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
