An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students with cognitive impairments in Merrimack, NH. This full-time, onsite contract position spans the current school year and requires a dedicated educator committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with cognitive impairments
• Adapt instructional materials and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including families and support staff, to ensure student success
• Monitor and document progress, providing regular updates on student achievements and challenges
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence

Qualifications:

• Valid New Hampshire Special Education (SPED) teaching license
• Experience working with middle school students, particularly those with cognitive impairments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
• Commitment to professional development and student-centered education
