Job Description
A K-12 educational institution in Melrose, NM, is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers to join their team on a contract basis for the current school year. This role involves working in resource rooms to support students with diverse learning needs across kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs
- Collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations and policies
Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico Special Education (SPED) Certification
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate and advocate for students
- Ability to manage classroom environments and implement resource room instruction
Job Details:

- Hours: 37.5 per week
